So…. We got a bit sidetracked playing Spore last month, and completely forgot to send out the newsletter.
Good thing penis monsters eventually get old!

This month’s GeekZine is quite eclectic! From workplace comics to flamable lube!
October 2008 GeekZine
First up is a quick preview of “Hero Lab”, a new Character Generator. Michael Cannon (aka Ogre) got a sneak peak at GENCON Indy.
Now, my first reaction was “Okay, big deal, it’s yet another character generator that is going to be more trouble than its worth”. However, the gentlemen giving the demonstration was kind enough me let try it out first hand.
Next up, Doc brings his best work-related comics to the table!
These comics actually make going to work fun. They make you feel better about your job. They make you want to laugh and cry and slack right along with the protagonists of these comics.
Garnet Joyce gives a fantastic demonstration on why you should be rediculously careful when choosing lube, in this month’s AskGarnet!
The lube was Doc Johnson’s iLube and when a lit match was held to a small puddle of the stuff the lube burst into flames.
Of course, no zine would be complete with out more from “Things Mr. Welch Can No Longer Do in an RPG”
406. The first rule of Finnegan school is not “Do not talk about Finnegan school”
409. I will not cast darkness at the magic missile.
And rounding out this month’s “all over the place” GeekZine is the continuation of “Chronicles of Faerun”.
Damarra still had that bounty going – on ears! Orc, goblin, troll (now that’s a tough one! Since they regenerate NEW trolls!), bandits, hobgoblins – you name it, they paid a bounty.
